Sick Boy

Yes, my little guy is sick :( It's really so sad. He has had a temp the past couple days and has just been pathetic...I figured it was just teething since his top gums are very swollen but when I took him to the doctor and he told me he has a sinus infection and a double ear infection. Poor boy! The doctor did say that his ears aren't infected bad but that's probably why the last 3 days he just wants to be held ALL THE TIME! He doesn't want to be put down. He gave him an antibiotic so hopefully he will be his active little self again soon! Good news is that his asthma is still under control and even with being sick he has crystal clear lungs!

"Is that God?"

Today at church the twins refused to go into their class for some reason so we let them come with us into service and about half way through Lorelai says (and not quietly either) "Is that God?", as she is pointing at Pastor Jody. I said "NO" and trying not to smile too big. It was just really precious. She was so serious and they were both being so good listening and staying quiet. Anyways, had to share this one :)

Our POOL and DIRT Party!

Well, we have had a busy weekend! Brandon was lucky enough to only work 5 days this week instead of the usual 6. So we went to the Farmers market in the morning and then later in the day we had a little BBQ and had some people over from church. Autumn came with her 2 boys. Her husband wasn't able to come since he was in Spokane again working on their home they are about to sell. We also had Nathan, Andi and Elise along with another couple from our church who actually live right around the corner from us, Derrik and Becky and their two kids, Carlie and Carter. The kids had a great time in the pool and out of it too! The boys were like little magnets to the dirt. We BBQ'ed ribs and had some super yummy desserts. Autumn made mini cheesecakes (they were really small so we all had to have 2 :) and Becky brought homemade rice krispy treats that were so good and the cutest mini popsicles the kids LOVED! They kept thinking that since they were small they could have have 2, 3, 4 of them. I wonder where they got an idea like that???

YUMMY cheesecakes by Autumn

The POOL part of the party!

And the DIRT part of the party!

Having fun

Ethan after kissing the dirt, so cute!

I didn't get to take any pictures today but Travis, Stacy and their kiddos, Hannah, Seth and Andrew stopped by on their way home to Spokane from visting on the Westside this weekend. So we used it as another excuse to BBQ again :) They kids were little fish in the pool again.

Now it's time for my family to visit again....AND CHRISTINA! I miss you guys :(

Installing A Husband!

I got this as an email and I cracked up laughing so hard I had to share! It's just too, too funny! ;)

INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf 4.1.Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE,

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.

Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta. Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother- In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)Also do not attempt to reinstall Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck,
Tech Support

Getting to Know Your Friends!

Autumn sent this to me and I thought I should post it here.

Welcome to the 2008 edition of getting to know your friends. Change all the answers so they apply to you, and then send this to your friends including the person who sent it to you. The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends that you might not have known!

Professional Pictures :)

One of the joys of visiting my family is I recruit helpers who think it's fun to come with me to get pictures taken. Since all the kids birthdays fall between the end of April and August we decided to get ALL their individual poses at the same time. We got some good ones. Here they are... I will "play" with some of them later and post those when I get home...I don't have my photo-editing program with me!

Garage Sale, French Fries & Capri Suns!

What a weekend we have had! Friday and Saturday we had a GARAGE SALE! It was fun. Nathan and Andi brought some things over. Autumn stopped by on her walk and then came back :) We had a fun time with friends and trying to not get into too many bargaining wars ;) The kids had a blast playing, at one time I think we had about 8 kids just having a great time playing duck, duck, goose in the yard. After a L O N G day on Saturday, Brandon BBQ burgers and Nathan, Andi and Elise came over as well as Jed, Autumn and their boys, Malachi and Ethan. We had a nice time visiting and Autumn came up with a new version of her yummy cake! On Sunday we went to church and during the very end of the service a man was walking out and fell/passed out right by Brandon. He helped while a doctor who was luckily in service ran over to help. It was scary! We have been praying for him all day. Not quite sure what happened. Brandon thought either a seizure or stroke? I have no idea how he is now. They called 911 and took him to the hospital. We pray he is okay and that he will heal soon. After church we went and ate and then I did some laundry that I have been avoiding and the we went to Walmart and got our oil changed. Brandon made spaghetti for dinner and I still have to pack since we are heading to the West side tomorrow to visit family and friends! Hope you call have a great week and I will update on all the fun we have when I come home :)

Here is Brady enjoying his FIRST fries & hamburger (no bun, no cheese) I was giving him little pieces of fries and then Autumn handed him a whole one and he ate it like a pro! You can see here he can even eat two at a time. He's no dummy...got eat them before his sisters come along and snatch one of his!

And here he his having his first capri-sun! All the other kids had one so I gave one to him and he knew exactly what to do :)

YUMMY!!! Such a BIG BOY!!!

9:30am Church Service, Michael's on the Lake & Goodbyes :o(

Today came so fast!!! The weekend flew by fast like it always does. I said goodbye to my Brother this morning. It was so sad to watch most everyone leave today. It makes me remember all those times we lived nearby and I NEVER thought the day would come where I lived so far away. I know I am blessed to live only 2.5 hours away from my family. I know there are families out there who live thousands of miles away from each other. I am so blessed with a wonderful family I hate being away from them. I love them and hope one day we are all closer together. That also includes Christina...she needs to be my next door neighbor. I think we should build a huge community compound and all live on the same 10 acres or so. Here are a few more pictures from the weekend....

Brady and his John Deere Bear from Gampa & Gamma (my parents)

His new cozy John Deere blanket that he LOVES! (my mom did it again! Not sure how my kids would survive w/o these blankets!)

Uncle Jeremy got a true "White Girls Wake-UP"! Doesn't he look fancy in is boa!?
