And things just never let up!

So, as if we haven't had enough to deal with....here I am taking more pictures of one of my kiddos but not because they are being cute or silly. I am taking these pictures so one day, when is Brady older I can show him how on this day, he almost gave his Mommy a heart attack! He has been such the little daredevil lately. Well, when I was taking laundry downstairs I saw him on the bench that is at our table and he flipped off trying to get away from his sister before I could run over and grab him. He landed on my pushcart that I got for my birthday a scraped his head. And it bleed and bleed and bleed! He stopped crying quickly. And we cleaned it up and put ointment on it. He keeps touching his head and saying "OUCH" ! Hopefully, one of these days soon I can post about the cute stuff but until then you get these kind ;)
**Update on Lorelai and Reagan: Reagan is doing so much better and we ended up taking Lorelai back into the doctor because last week they said if she still had it on Monday to bring her back in. She is "shedding skin" where her rash was and the doctor said that's normal. Hopefully, it will clear up and go away!

Reagan Update (and Lorelai too!)

Well, she is sleeping right now after only being up for about an hour. She took the Delsym and that stuff is amazing for calming a cough! She slept great all night but she fighting something off. I am glad she can sleep and maybe kick whatever it is she has faster. She has only had a runny nose. No fever, no rash, no whining just tired and a persistent cough. I will continue to keep you updated on how she is doing.
Lorelai is still getting better her face hasn't changed at all from yesterdays photo. She is a bit more emotional the past 24 hours but like Reagan I think she needs some sleep to kick this allergic reaction. It has taken a lot out of her. We are staying home from church today to rest and make sure everyone continues get get healthy. Daddy went to church and then Sunday school and then plans to hang low with us! I will update more later as to how everyone is feeling.

Fun Pictures

With all these posts about the girls being sick I thought it would be fun to throw in a fun picture one. I was playing around with some photo software and when the girls feel better I want to do a few posed ones. I am so excited to do some pictures outside this spring when the weather warms up!

Sweet Cozy Twins

As you can tell they aren't totally back to themselves yet. Reagan I think is worse today than she's been all week. Coughing non-stop! I got her some Delsym and that has really helped her coughing. I was outside helping Brandon put back his bench seat in his truck (he's installing a speaker system thingy) and when I came back in they were cozing on the couch. Moments like this melt my heart! I love how they are close and find comfort with one another when they are sick.

Lorelai today (Saturday)....

I wanted to show you how much better she is this morning vs yesterday afternoon. Hopefully it will continue to look like this. But it is SO dry. It's like her skin is peeling. We are washing it every few hours and putting on lotion to help.

Here she is showing you her tongue isn't swollen anymore :) YAY!!!

And look...here is a smile! I haven't seen her do that in a almost a week! I am so glad to have my happy little girl back. Honestly, I think she perked up because Gamma Judy called and said that she, Gampa, Auntie Rachel and Uncle Jeremy are coming next weekend to visit! She knows she needs to feel better...Grandparents , Aunts and Uncles are the best medicine I guess ;)
The other girls are doing pretty good too! I will try and get some pictures of them playing the Wii...we got the Wii Fit and they are pretty cute on it. Reagan has a bit of a cough still but no fever or anything else. And Brady...well, he's keeping us all busy.

Here is what our day looks like so far....

Poor Lorelai, she was looking so good this morning when she woke up and in only a few hours this is what she looked like. She is miserable! Thankfully, after her nap the redness went down a bit. It still doesn't look as good as it did when she got up but hopefully it will, someday ;) She has been such a trooper and is up and around this afternoon playing. The doctor said she wants to see her on Monday if it doesn't get any better and told us to do cold compresses when her face gets red and hot. Her swelling is down so I feel like we are on the right track but it is just scary. So today we just took it easy and stayed home. Brady is keeping us all pretty busy!

Brady snuggling with Reagan this morning

Brady snuggling with Lexi (Yes, I know he has a bottle...he's my baby, what can I say?)

He is also my daredevil as well!

Even though he looks like an angel!

Can you say "terrible twos" ALREADY!

Standing on the bar stool! HELP...this boy is crazy :)
Something tells me this boy is going to be climbing more than my girls did!

Oh, the amazing thing one little shot can do!

BEFORE the shot (yesterday afternoon)

After (this morning!)

We had to take her back into the doctor yesterday which was the third day in a row! They decided that she just wasn't getting better fast enough and they were a little worried about the swelling of her tongue and around the mouth she got a shot and was such a brave girl! She didn't even cry and the doctor was amazing with her. She even got to pick out 2 small toys (a bracelet and a mini hand that claps), she was so proud! Anyways, this is hopefully going to stop the allergic reaction and she may have some blotchy redness on her face for a few days but you can tell she is feeling much more like herself! Thanks for all your sweet comments and prayers!

Lorelai today....

My poor baby! She was doing so well after her new medicine last night. When I went in to check on her at about 11:30pm she was sleeping comfortably and the swelling was way down! Now, this morning this is what she looks like :( It's hard to get a accurate picture because of the flash but under eyes and forehead is the same color as her shirt. Her tongue is swollen and so I called our doctor and she put her back on the Benadryl every 6 hours along with her once daily medicine. If she gets any worse we will have to take her back in but for now she is resting on the couch! Her rash is very faint which is good but it is very dry and it's really bothering her. We keep putting on Cetaphil lotion to help. Anyways, thanks for all your prayers and I will keep you updated!

Lorelai and Reagan

*UPDATE - Well, after looking at her this morning and talking with my Mom I called our doctor and she said that it sounded like Lorelai was having an allergic reaction. She upped the dose of Benadryl and said to call if anything changed. About 2pm she started complaining of a bad stomachache and under her eyes had a purplish color and she was still having a lot of swelling even after the higher dose of Benadryl. I called the nurse and she said to bring her right in. We saw a different doctor as our doctor was off this afternoon and he said she is having anaphylactic reaction. Thankfully, she isn't experiencing any breathing issues but because her tongue is swollen he said we need to keep a very close watch on her. He also gave her a much stronger antihistamine prescription to help with all her symptoms. So, hopefully she will be feeling better soon and I am so thankful we know what it is!!! I will keep you updated if anything changes!

I took the twins in yesterday to the doctor because Reagan was coughing and running a low grade fever. And Lorelai had a weird rash on her face, neck and upper chest as well as on her back. The doctor ruled out all major illnesses with rashes and said it could be Coxsackie. But I'm not convinced...I think she is having an allergic reaction to something. Everything I read about Coxsackie is more of a rash around the mouth, hands and feet like Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease or Fifth Disease. She has the swelling which I can't find as a symptom. She also itches really bad and says her tongue feels weird. Never a fever, no cold symptoms...so we will just wait and see if Reagan gets it or someone else because it is contagious. So far after 36+ hours no one else has a hint of a rash. So I am curious as to what this may be!!! Any ideas? Feel free to let me know! As of yesterday we are house bound until this is figured out!!! I will keep you updated.

Thank you Gampa and Gamma!!!

The girls and Brady got their Valentine's Day package from Gampa and Gamma in the mail today! They were so excited opening up the Valentine T-shirt's and candy! Brady even enjoyed some chocolate! Thank you!!! Stay tunned for our annual "Old Navy Valentine T-shirt Photo"!

Excuse the messy boy! He had chocolate ALL over him!

Hmmmm...yummy! Thank you Gampa and Gamma!

Our Little Valentine's Day Party

Since we homeschool the girls, sometimes it hard for me to know that they are missing out hanging out with friends and doing these fun hoilday parties in a classroom setting. So when my friend Stacy said she was coming over we thought it would be fun to have a little Valentine's Day Party for our kids. Stacy, Hannah, Seth and Andrew helped us celebrate and then spent the night with us too. Stacy and I stayed up late watching a movie and then in the morning we had sticky buns for breakfast and then had to say goodbye :( They are visiting family for the weekend on the westside and I am so happy they got to stop in and party because it's been way too long since our last visit!!
