This n' That

Alright! Summer is here, it's 9am and it's already about 75 degrees outside!
Thank God for airconditioning :)

Brady watching the girls play outside

Girls enjoying the warm morning and dancing outside!
(Don't look to much at the weeds...we are getting to the backyard this weekend!)

Here are some of our trees and plants to go back there!

Well, we have been busy, busy!!! Here is some things we've been up to.......

  • A quick trip to the Westside to visit family and getting some much needed retail therapy!
  • Two doctor appointments for Brady (Now it's...NO melons & raspberries along with all dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts) He also got his 6 month shots, FINALLY! They weren't letting him get them until he was better.
  • A trip to the new play park here in Moses Lake with some gals from Bible Study
  • Walks at night (all 7 of us!)
  • Hours of the girls playing outside with their little neighbor friends
  • Working hard in the front yard and preparing the back
  • BBQ-ing some yummy foods and making some new recipes
  • 15+ loads of laundry, a couple trips to the store, cleaning and lots of other little things!

"I have asthma"...."And I am allergic to that"

(The twins in their Krispy Kreme Hats Meme brought them)

Kids say the sillest things. With all this going on right now with Brady they have picked up some excuses :)

STORY #1: Last night Reagan got up out of bed and I said "Why are you out of bed?" She said "Because I have asthma" trying ever so hard not to just bust up laughing I said "No, you DO NOT have asthma!" I told her to get back in bed. I saw that she was walking funny and asked her if she had pooped in her pull-up. (Mind you she is completely potty trained and we ONLY wear them at night.) She said nothing so I peeked...yep sure enough she had. I said "Why did you poop in your pull-up?" She quickly replied "I pooped in them because I have asthma" By now it really wasn't too funny to me, but by this morning I can't help but to laugh and share it with you!!! Brandon also got a good laugh at it!

STORY #2: This morning the girls were trying to find something for breakfast. I was a bad Mommy and let us run out of milk. I was just too tired to go to the grocery store last night. So I was trying to come up with ideas for breakfast and if Lexi didn't like the idea she said "I'm allergic to that!" Makenna and I laughed good at that one. So this morning we talked about what asthma was (and WAS NOT) and we also discussed what allergic means. So now hopefully we won't hear those excuses :) I am sure however, that they will come up with some more!

Salt Water Sandals, Soup, Salad & Breadsticks!

Ah, what a weeekend. Saturday we (I really mean Brandon) worked in the yard in the afternoon. I will take pictures so you can see what a beautiful yard we have now! The best in the neighborhood if you ask me! But in the morning we were all up and dressed by 7:15am!!! We took the girls and Brady on a long walk, went to breakfast at Jack-In-The-Box and to the pathetic little saturday market here in our small town :) Brandon bought me a pen a guy made. It's like the ones our friend makes in wood. It is curvy and very girly!! I love it. Then later about 4pm we loaded everyone up and took them to "Kids Eat Free Saturday Night between 4-8pm" At Shari's :) It so fun to walk in with 4 of 5 children who eat regular meals and let them order whatever they want and it dosen't ever end up on our bill :) We do this on tuesday nights too at Denny's! They acually hold our booth for us since we normally show up at the same time every week and I bet we've been going for at least 10-12 weeks consistantly now!!! The girls have a blast and are so cute when they order. Someone came up to us this time and said "Your girls are so good! We are shocked that they are all sitting down and listening and being quiet!" We of course said "We starved them all day and then drugged them before coming"...NO, not really!!! We told them "Thank you" and made sure the girls heard them and then told the girls that we thought they were being really good as well. This is why we do this week after week to teach them manners and how to handle themselves in a public place. And to eat for less money...why not? For that I can't feed all of us for any less at home. (And I don't have to cook :) We are very proud of them!

Anyways, I really got way off topic. SUNDAY was the best day!!! We went to the Tri-Cities (Kennewick actually...and of course after church) for the yearly spring shoes...Salt Water Sandals (in white)!!! Thankfully, we found everyones size. Brandon refused to let me get Brady a navy pair! I was so bummed!!! But I understand him not wanting his son to wear them so we agreed to get him some different ones. Besides his fat little foot would NEVER have fit in there!!! Brandon even bought a pair of Adidas slip-ons for around the yard and neighborhood. That means I need to find some :) The guy at the register gave us an additional 15% off! He was amazed by how young we were and in awe of us having 5 kids! He said his wife wants 5 (CRAZY lady!), both Brandon and I started laughing, hard...and then we quickly said they are lots of work but lots of fun too!!!

We also ate at The Olive Garden...yummy!!! And NO kids didn't eat free we had to pay for them!!! Their drinks were included in the meal though!! I had the Soup, salad and breadsticks for $5.95...pretty good deal considering it's all you can eat! I Love doing that with Christina when I am over visting and we get to sneak away for a lunch! The girls were hyper on the way home but as soon as their little heads hit the pillow last night they were out! I need to wear them out that well today!!

That was our weekend! Hope yours was good too!

Pulling himself UP!

Look, who can pull himself up! I don't like this stage!!! I just hate when they are so unstable still and fall and get hurt!!! But at the same time I am so PROUD! :):):)

BIG, BIG BOY!

Look at him!

SMILES :)

What a face!

One Little Green Bead!!!!

Yes, ONE little green bead can cause a Mom to "FREAK OUT"!!! Lexi came downstairs on tuesday afternoon crying that her ear hurt. She says "There's something in there!" Brandon and I look at each other as we are getting Brady ready so we can go eat at Denny's for dinner (Our usual tuesday night outing!) and say..."No....nothings in your ear!" Lexi quickly says "YES there is!" Brandon runs and gets a flashlight and looks. Yep, he sees something. (As I am starting to freak-out a bit) I ask her, "What is in your ear?" She says, "Am I going to be in trouble?" I say "Honny, you are already in trouble...there is something in your ear!" She says "It's a green bead." I asked her why. And she refuses to say! FINALLY, Makenna fesses up and says she was doing a Magic Trick and was pulling a bead out of her ear. Well, I guess this time she pushed it in rather than pulled it out! I am really freaking-out by now and we decide to try urgent care. (They know us well by now!) I of course make Brandon take her in and they try sucking it out and then they try putting glue on an end of a stick and try to pull it out which also didn't work. So we had to see the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor this morning. Poor girl had to wait like 36 hours to get it out. Brandon just got back from taking her and he said that doctor had it out within 5 seconds!!! What a guy! I am so glad. I got her to hold the bead and show you in the picture and she was afraid to hold it so I am guessing she will never pull that trick again :)
