Brady's Doctor Appointment

We had Brady's doctor appointment for his FIRST YEAR CHECKUP this morning at 10:45am and it went really good. We talked about the foods to feed him and what to avoid. She sent us to the hospital for a blood draw for a test which will help determine what foods he should stay away from. This is in case we have missed something since his eczema isn't as "cleared up" as she would like...it makes the doctor think there still might be something still. She is keeping him on the Singular and we are down to once a day pulmicort nebulizer treatments and using the albuteral only when needed for his asthma which she said looks like it is "under-control"! So hopefully in about 3-4 days we can get it all sorted out and eliminate the problem foods and let him at it with the rest :)

Here are his STATS:

WEIGHT - 24.5lbs (80-85th percentile)
HEIGHT - 31.75" (90th percentile)

(funny little fact: Reagan is only about 4lbs heavier than Brady right now (she is in the 4th percentile for weight, not that the percentile means ANYTHING!) and she is turning 4 years old in August...her twin Lorelai is 3lbs heavier than her. So Brady just might pass both of them up before he's 2 :)

We will go back for shots in about 3-4 weeks (he needs to be over the 12 month mark or so to get vaccinated so we have to wait until 2 weeks or so after his birthday plus they ran out of shots anyways!!! I am of glad to wait since he had to get poked with the blood draw today.)

Oh sweet boy! He is getting so big.

In regards to my blog makeover, I paid someone to do it for me. I bought the digital kit and then she has all the programs that allow her to create and design my blog. If I were to buy the program, it would cost roughly $700!

Christina ~ Wheat and soy are what she is checking in case they might be a problem. She is also checking milk, peanuts, all tree nuts, corn and she said she's do some fruits that might be more allergenic like banans, melons etc. We are pretty sure raspberries are a no-no! So it will be good to see because maybe he can have soy and others...can't wait to hear back!

Jessica ~ Thank you for the info! I have been trying to change my background but it warns that it will delete everything and I am not savvy enough to know how to save it! Maybe I should find a kit and have someone make me one too. I LOVE the black and white with color picture of Mackenzie, it's just adorable!!! She is such a cutie!

That last comment was from me..not michael. i was updating his blog for burkina and forgot to sign out. oops!
anyway, i wanted to direct you to a blog that might be very helpful for you with all of Brady's allergy issues. Her name is Kim and her boys have had severe allergies to foods as well as herself. She just posted these last couple of days on foods that they eat. The link to her blog is on mine. It's "3 Peanuts".
